Going quiet does not reset any of it. Leave for six months, come back, say hey.

No. They are digital friends, not people. The very first message you get says so plainly, and any of them will tell you again whenever you ask.
Nothing beyond your own phone plan. These are ordinary texts and ordinary calls to a regular US number, so if you have unlimited texts and minutes there is nothing extra at all.
Occasionally, and only about something you brought up yourself. Ask any of them to stop and they stop.
Text STOP to any of them. That ends messages from all of them at once.
Text START to the same number, then say hello again. Almost always that fixes it.
Phone numbers get reused. If you ever sent STOP to that number before we had it, for something else entirely, your carrier is still holding that block and it applies to us now. START clears it.
